Distributions
Sources released here are snapshots of the given projects, in a state which can be grouped into these categories:
- Snapshot - This is simply a snapshot of the sourcetree, ready for download, probably because it contains something which could not wait until the release, or project has not yet reached a higher level.
- Minor version - A minor change, also indicated usually by incrementing the minor version number. This can be regarded a complete and working sourcetree, except, that it was not yet tested, used.
- Release - The release is a complete, tested and consistent snapshot.
- Gold - A release can be made "gold release" on subjective terms, usually when it was heavily used, or otherwise extensively tested, and seemingly all features work as advertised.
